Many bird species can be seen at the Mill Park. Both sides of the Mill race are great
places to sit and watch for them. Each season presents different species to look for.
There’s always at least one hummingbird nesting at the park and visiting the creek-side cardinal flowers. The resident Pileated Woodpeckers can be seen and heard year-round. Great Blue Herons hang out by the small waterfall in the creek waiting for a snack. There are always Bluebirds and the best time to spot them is in the winter months. A list of birds seen in the park is available.
