About Bondsville Mill Park

The Bondsville Mill Park is a 47 acre parcel that is being transformed into a space for passive recreation, preserving nature, and a historic site.  For more than 100 years, from about 1841 to 1950, Bondsville Mill played an important role in American history. In its infancy, it was a center of industry for the region. Mills were located all along the Beaver Creek, in West Brandywine and Caln townships.

Grand Opening

Our Goals

East Brandywine Township acquired the mill in 2005 using open space funds. Work to clean up the property and make the collapsed buildings safe has been ongoing by a dedicated group of volunteers ever since. The park opened to the public in 2014.

When complete, the park will have three main components: the historic Mill; the natural areas with two miles of trails, gardens, and picnic areas.
